After I took the photos in Bobigny I was visiting another Roma camp in Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris.
Two Roma women collecting wood for fire and shelter at a construction site infront of a vacant apartment block. After the tedious walk back to the camp the whole family helps to unload the heavy wooden boards. Portraits of occupants who lived in a camp that doesn‘t existed anymore since February 2015. Some months later I went there again. The only trace of the whole camp that was left behind was a Hello Kitty shoe, that one of the woman was wearing the last time I saw her.
